Noskova opened proceedings on Steffi Graf Stadion by dismantling qualifier Diane Parry 6-2, 6-2 in just 67 minutes. The 21-year-old Czech suffocated the Frenchwoman from the first exchanges, breaking serve four times to reach her fourth quarterfinal of the season. She will face wild card Paula Badosa, who stunned Coco Gauff in the previous round.
Svitolina followed in identical fashion. The Ukrainian dispatched wild card Eva Lys 6-3, 6-2 in 69 minutes, confirming her excellent grass-court form. It marks her eighth quarterfinal of the 2026 season, a figure that speaks to remarkable consistency at 31. Returning to Berlin for the first time since 2021, she will face either No.2 seed Elena Rybakina or rising star Alexandra Eala in the quarters.
The quarterfinal lineup is shaping up to be formidable. World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka booked her spot a day earlier by dismissing Alexandrova, while No.3 seed Jessica Pegula cruised past Siniakova 6-4, 6-2. Badosa, Svitolina, Noskova, Sabalenka, Pegula: five top-30 players, zero sets dropped between them in the round of 16.
The quarterfinals begin Thursday. The top half, featuring Sabalenka and Pegula, promises power-driven encounters. The bottom half, where Svitolina could meet Rybakina followed by Badosa or Noskova, offers equally compelling storylines.
