The Florentine fell to Alexander Zverev in a grueling five-set final, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-1, over more than four hours of play. Despite the loss, Cobolli showed he belongs on the biggest stages.
Coached by his father Stefano, a former player himself, Cobolli turned professional in 2020 and built his career steadily.
