The Generali Open final in Kitzbühel will pit defending champion Alexander Bublik, the top seed, against Quentin Halys, who is chasing his maiden ATP title. The Kazakh has dropped just nine games across his last two matches and remains the heavy favourite. But Halys, drawing on his run to the Gstaad final in 2024, knows what it takes to compete at this level. The Frenchman arrives on the back of a flawless week, with four wins from four including the scalp of second seed Valentin Vacherot in the second round. The clash of styles between Bublik's unpredictable flair and Halys's baseline solidity promises a rare spectacle on the Austrian clay.
In Estoril, the semi-finals offer a striking contrast. Top seed Andrey Rublev, in scintillating form all week, has conceded just four games across his last two matches. Standing in his way is Tiago Torres, ranked 427th and competing in the first ATP main draw of his career on a wild card. The Portuguese has already upset 28th-ranked Alejandro Tabilo and defeated Hugo Gaston in the quarterfinals. Backed by the Estadio Millennium crowd, Torres has nothing to lose, which makes him all the more dangerous.
In the bottom half, local hero Jaime Faria, ranked 79th, takes on Argentina's Burruchaga. No seeds remain on this side of the draw, a rare configuration at this stage of an ATP 250 event. Should Faria prevail, a Rublev-Faria final in front of the Portuguese crowd would be an event in itself.
On the WTA side, Hamburg offers intriguing semi-finals with Mayar Sherif, who defeated Paula Badosa in the quarterfinals, facing Anna Bondar, while Elina Avanesyan looks to continue her run. In Prague, Barbora Krejcikova, the second seed, is the only significant favourite left standing and faces Lilli Tagger, while Tereza Valentova takes on Daria Snigur in the other semi-final.
