Amanda Anisimova produced the standout performance. The American needed just 65 minutes to dispatch Laura Siegemund 6-1, 6-3 on Andy Murray Arena, dropping a mere nine points on serve throughout. Her aggressive returning and sharp first serve signaled a player hitting form at the right time. Anisimova reaches the quarter-finals for the second consecutive year and will face compatriot Iva Jovic, who earlier dismantled Alexandra Eala 6-2, 6-2.
The Karolina Pliskova vs Victoria Mboko encounter ended on a sour note. Trailing 6-2 and 3-4 in the second set, the Canadian took a heavy fall on the slippery grass.
