Herbert produced the most dramatic performance. The 35-year-old former doubles world number one needed two and a half hours to edge past Switzerland's Leandro Riedi 6-4, 6-7(8), 6-3, qualifying for his 10th Roland-Garros singles main draw. He will face Lorenzo Sonego in the opening round.

Pavlovic delivered the most convincing display, dismantling American teenager Darwin Blanch 6-2, 6-4 to earn his Grand Slam main draw debut. His reward is a daunting first-round clash with world number 30 Joao Fonseca of Brazil.

Jacquet completed the French trio by qualifying for the second consecutive year with a composed 7-6(5), 6-3 victory over Great Britain's Felix Gill. He faces Argentina's Marco Trungelliti in round one.

In total, 17 men made it through qualifying, including American Michael Zheng, who stunned top seed Jesper de Jong 7-5, 6-3, and Italy's Andrea Pellegrino, who dispatched 2018 semifinalist Marco Cecchinato 7-6(5), 6-2.
