Naomi Osaka produced the result of the day, ousting world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-2, 7-6(2). The Japanese star did not drop a single service game in the match, ending an eight-year losing streak against the Belarusian. She reaches the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time.

Karolina Muchova prevailed in an all-Czech battle against Barbora Krejcikova 7-5, 5-7, 6-3. Muchova struck 50 winners and was devastating at the net, winning 23 of 31 approach points. Her victory guarantees a first-time Wimbledon champion, as defending champion Krejcikova has been eliminated.

Novak Djokovic reached a historic milestone by defeating Roman Safiullin 7-6(6), 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 for his record-breaking 106th Wimbledon match win, surpassing Roger Federer. He advances to his 17th Wimbledon quarterfinal.

Jessica Pegula, the fourth seed, rallied past Iva Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the second time in her career.

On the men's side, world No.1 Jannik Sinner was scheduled to face qualifier Shintaro Mochizuki, while Coco Gauff versus Belinda Bencic headlined the remaining women's fourth-round action.

The women's quarterfinal lineup is taking shape, with an Osaka-Muchova clash promising fireworks between two of the most inventive shotmakers in the game.
