1. What ScoreShark is, and is not
ScoreShark is a sports analysis media outlet. The site publishes editorial analyses, statistics and match data, for information purposes.
ScoreShark is not a gambling operator licensed by the French National Gambling Authority (ANJ). The site offers no gambling, opens no gaming account and accepts no deposit of money or any money to play. ScoreShark has no affiliate relationship with any gambling operator and receives no commission related to its readers' gambling activity.
No analysis constitutes betting advice or an encouragement to gamble, and none guarantees a result. The odds displayed are information taken from third-party sources.
2. Protection of minors
Under French law, gambling is prohibited for minors, including emancipated minors (article L320-7 of the Code de la sécurité intérieure). ScoreShark's content is intended for people aged 18 and over.
3. Taking stock of your gambling
The ANJ offers Evalujeu, an anonymous and free self-assessment tool to measure your gambling and find suitable advice (in French).
Among the warning signs described by the ANJ on its page about addiction:
- playing again right after a loss to try to win back the money lost;
- withdrawing from family and friends to shut yourself away in the habit;
- borrowing money to gamble;
- no longer being able to think about anything but gambling;
- being unable to stop, and becoming irritable when you have to;
- no longer feeling any pleasure, being stressed by results and losses;
- believing that your statistics or sports knowledge make a win certain.

Outside France, contact the help service or the gambling regulator of your country of residence.
5. Voluntary self-exclusion
Any adult in France can ask to be excluded from gambling. The request is made online at interdictiondejeux.anj.fr, a service run by the ANJ, or by registered letter. The exclusion lasts at least three years and applies to casinos, gaming clubs and licensed online gambling websites.
